Day 211 - Today I am super grateful for a fabulous spring-like warm day for the last day of July :)

Day 210 - Today I am very grateful that Josh cooked dinner for us for the very first time (with lots of help from Livvy) His homework this week is to be a Masterchef for a day :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 209

Day 209 - Today I am so grateful for the joy I feel being with the wee people at my preschool music group. Today we had the first visit from our newest baby and our eldest child at music had his last day as he is off to school. I also got a gorgeous cuddle from our second-to-newest baby. Lucky me :)

Day 208 - Today I am grateful that Kirsten added me as a friend on Facebook!! 

I am also very grateful that a social media proposal I prepared for a medium sized business was accepted today!  All thanks to Maria for inviting me to RISE and Kate for organising RISE :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 207

Day 207 - Today I was so grateful to be able to go out for dinner with all of our children. With Kirsten and Simone going away next week, this may be that last evening we are all together until Boxing Day :) 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 206

Day 206 - Today I am grateful that my friend Bonny reminded me that I hadn't posted my gratitude journal last night! 

It was a very busy day unpacking boxes into the kitchen and china cabinet and then out to a friends birthday party last night. We were very late home and I simply forgot! Thanks Bonny for the reminder :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 205

Day 205 - Today I was very grateful to wake up at Raewyn and Hugh Perry's home after a sleepover while the floors at our place were drying! 

So thrilled with the results 

We were looked after so well and we really enjoyed our night away!

I was also grateful to Liz, the children's ministry leader, for organising a fun pizza and movie night at the church :)

Day 204 - Today I was grateful that the kitchen man came to finish off the kitchen and that the floor guy came to finish off the floor :)

Day 202 - Today I was super grateful that our kitchen was finished being installed! 

Just a few minor adjustments and it will be all finished and ready to be filled up :)

Day 201 - Today I as very grateful to go for an amazing meal at Simon and Lynn's  home this evening to celebrate Simons Birthday a day early. 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 200

Day 200 - Today I was so grateful to hear water running about an hour ago and raced to the laundry to find the tub over flowing. Thankfully there wasn't so much water at that stage that it spilled over onto the new kitchen floor! It has still taken me the last hour to clean up. Floor looks very clean now! 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 199

Day 199 - I was very grateful today that we were able to have a sleepover at Simons last night while our newly polished floors were drying. Bagel behaved very well on his first sleepover - thank goodness! It was great to be able to have a great extended catchup with Simon and introduce him to green ginger wine :)

Day 198 - Today I am very grateful that out kitchen floor has been polished ready for our new kitchen to go in :)

Day 197 - Today I was very grateful to have our old kitchen taken out this morning and have it picked up tonight by the people who bought it on Trade Me! 

I was also extremely grateful that the sander turned up on time and stayed late to get the kitchen and dining area sanded so he can seal it tomorrow :)

Day 196 - Today I was so grateful that our repair company came back to fix the boards in the dining floor that weren't quite right, before the floor is sanded tomorrow :)

Day 195 - Today I was very grateful that Andrew Crow came over to fix the step up to the lounge from the dining room ready to sand and polish later in the week :)

Day 194 - Today I am extremely grateful that Denise came over to cut and colour my hair! No more grey... For awhile anyway :)

Day 193 - Today I was very grateful to be able to sleep in as I woke up not feeling so great. It was very nice to be able to close my eyes again for awhile :)

Day 192 - Today I was grateful to go with Matt and take the children to see a movie at Alice's Cinematheque. The younger children loved the french film Ernest and Celestine!
I was also grateful to Kirsten and then Livvy who babysat in tandem so Glenn and I could go to the rugby :)

Day 191 - Today I was very grateful to go out for lunch and to the movies with Glenn, Bri and Josh :)

Day 190 - After watching Hope and Wire tonight I can say that I am truly grateful that the Christchurch I have experienced before and since the earthquakes bears very little resemblance to what I have seen on this programme! Thanks Gaylene Preston for portraying us as racially motivated thugs who steal, lie and cheat, drink all the time, turn to prostitution to support our drug habit, who have children who are promiscuous and bunk school to sleep around and take drugs and generally have no hope left in life at all. Obviously all the caring and support I saw and all the people who worked hard looking after their neighbours, friends and complete strangers was a figment of my imagination! 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 189

Day 189 - Today I was very grateful that Karen dropped off some curtains she kindly repaired for us, from one of the caravans we borrowed. Thanks so much Karen! 

I was also grateful to have a day at home to unpack lots of boxes and that Glenn finished our wardrobe and we have been able to put our clothes away! 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 188

Day 188 - Today I was very grateful that Glenn and Olivia started to put our new wardrobe system together. 

I was also really grateful to have lunch with some girlfriends today. I walked out of the house quite stressed at all the work needing to be done here. But after a few hours of coffee and chat I came home recharged and got so much done tonight! 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 187

Day 187 - Today I was most grateful to see Joanne, Dale and Miss Ellie walk through the door after Ellie's temporary discharge from hospital. If all goes well tonight they are allowed to fly home to Nelson tomorrow. Great to see Ellie up and about :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 186

Day 186 - Today I was very grateful to unpack and discover some things I packed in December 2011. We got a lot unpacked today and I was thrilled to completely unpack my scrapbooking collection today that I packed when we left Aorangi Road. I was also so grateful to catch up with an old friend Jan who is moving to Brisbane. It's awhile since I've  seen her and it was such a surprise to find her at my door! I'm so glad we caught up before she left and she's invited us to come over to stay!

Livvy and I were so pleased to visit Ellie Springer in hospital this morning and see her looking so well and smiley! It's easy to be grateful when you see your friends child has come through an operation so well :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 185

Day 185 - Today I have many reasons to be grateful. After choosing a new light shade for our dining room with Glenn, I was thrilled to do some goal setting with my friend Wendy Cross. We are going to help keep each other on track in what we want to achieve in the next 6 months. Then I was super grateful the electrician arrived to fix the heat pump and some plugs that weren't working. And tonight we had a lovely meal with Glenn's cousin Paul and his partner Dani. Thanks Matt for babysitting :) Also super grateful that today was last day of term!

Day 184 - Today I was very grateful that two people I know who were having operations today, are doing well tonight :)

Day 183 - Today I was so super grateful to come home from work to find Livvy stacking wood that was delivered today and Kirsten folding about 4 days worth of washing! Then Kirsten cooked dinner and Livvy babysat while Glenn and I were both out for evening commitments! I am so lucky to have such amazing children :)      

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 182

Day 182 - Today I was very grateful to have the repair company, Fletcher's and EQC visit and sign off the repair of our home! A few small things needed to finish off but our home is ours again. It was such a nice feeling this afternoon to start the big unpack :)
