2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 120

Day 119 - Today I am very grateful that everyone has taken a turn carrying boxes out to the container! It's a good workout carrying boxes all the way out our long drive but many hands make light work! I'm also grateful to Karly for dropping off more boxes just as we were running out :)

Day 119 - Today I am grateful that I am a member of the AA and they were able to start the car after Kirsten and I were stuck in the Countdown carpark tonight with a flat battery! 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 118

Day 118 - Today I am grateful to my friend Bonny for dropping off some books I bought and also grateful to her sister Rosewyn for bringing them from the U.S.A. for me! It was great to have the chance for a good catch up with Bonny too :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 117

Day 117 - Today I am very grateful that Glenn was able to put together a kitset shed today, that we bought to house the bikes and other bits while our house is repaired. It was not an easy task as the company we bought it from sent the wrong sized shed and it had to be cut down to fit in the gap. I'm also grateful that Miss Olivia cooked dinner and organised the two youngest so I could hold the sides of the shed while  Glenn worked as fast as he could to put it together before the rain and darkness approached!

Day 116 - Today I am grateful for a slow start to the day and a productive day after that getting ready for our house repairs in 9 days time :)

Day 114 - Today I am very grateful that my friend Karen picked up her parents trailer (Thanks Ruth) and brought it here for us to go pick up our new kitset shed! Then when we got back Karen packed the contents of my china cabinet. I am very blessed to have such amazing friends :) xx

Day 112 - Today I was grateful to catch up with my friends Lynda and Janine for our usual school holiday lunch and be joined by Janese for afternoon tea. Grateful to have such great friends :)

Day 111 - Today I was grateful to take a bit of break away from packing to go with 3 of my children to the LEGO movie! Was a fun movie and scrummy lunch after :)

Day 109 - Today I was so grateful to wake up to the sun shining. It was so lovely to have the doors and windows open! And get lots of washing dry too :)

Day 108 - Today I am grateful that we have had Glenn's sister Penny and her husband Garth with Caitlin, Patrick and Emma around for dinner and a big catch up. They are down from Palmerston North for Easter :)

Day 107 - Today I am grateful that it is the last day of term. I love knowing that for the next two weeks the mornings will be much less rushed :)

Day 106 - Today I am very grateful that I have a job where I can work from home if I have a sick child!

Day 105 - Today I am so grateful that Pip (one of the Mums from Preschool Music) was able to step in at the last minute and take music today as Briana was home sick from school. Thanks so much Pip :)

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 104

Day 104 - Today I was grateful to be able to head along with Olivia and Lynn to the botanical gardens to have a wee look at Prince William and Catherine. I feel that William echoes the compassion of his Mother. His visit to our city and his warm words, 3 years ago, were so gratefully received. 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 103

Day 103 - Today I am utterly grateful that I have a husband who is willing to go out to the garage at 3.09am to get a plunger to unblock the laundry tub. Joshua woke us up by being sick through our bed. And I managed to block the pipes while rinsing the bedclothes off (sorry for too much information). Thankfully Glenn was able to unblock the tub and I could finish getting the washing done and go back to bed!

Day 102 - Today I was very grateful to be able to go scrapbooking at Anna's again. Two months on a row - must be a record for me! Then a lovely meal with some very nice people :)

Day 101 - Today I was grateful for many things! To get 3 jobs done at the same time at Aorangi Road, to meet Fiona Le Fevre for coffee, to pack 4 boxes, to dispatch some trade me sales, and to enjoy some conversation with Jillian, Krissy, Ruth (and Alan) while perusing some gorgeous jewellery! All in all a great day :)  

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 100

Day 100 - Today I am grateful that I got to Day 100 in my journal without missing a day! I'm also grateful that I was able to start packing with avengence for the repair on our house!! 

I also realised today what a big job I have in front of me in the next 24 days. 

2014 Gratitude Journal - Day 99

Day 99 - Today I am forever grateful that 11 years ago a beautiful wee girl was born to our family :)

Briana is an amazing, loving. creative and she is a very sensitive person, who constantly stuns us with her drawings and makes us all laugh.

This is Briana tonight blowing out the candles on her divine birthday cake (thanks to The Breeze)

This afternoon she had the girls from her class over for a dance party. Our home was filled with noise and laughter! It was great fun - for Briana, and for us :)

Day 98 - Today I am grateful to have had the time to get all ready for Briana's birthday tomorrow. I'm working during the day then 12 girls are coming for a dance party! It's going to be noisy...but fun :)

Day 97 - Today I was grateful to confirm our accommodation for our house repairs. It's going to be an adventure :)

Day 96 - Today I am grateful to have had an extra hour to get things done and to have been able to sleep a bit longer this morning! Will miss the longer evenings though!

Day 95 - Today I am grateful to be home again after a whirlwind 35 1/2 hour trip to Nelson via Blenheim to drop Glenn for the Grape Ride bike race and back! Feeling totally exhausted now but it was SO worth it!

Day 94 - Today I am very grateful that I was able to drive to Nelson for a 25th wedding anniversary of my friends Jill and Barry. Back in April, 1989 my friend Joanne and I sang 'The Rose' at their marriage ceremony. We were able to do a reprise tonight :)

Day 93 - Today I am very grateful that we now have a date for EQC/Fletchers to start the repair on our home. That means I need to pack up the entire house (eek)

Day 92 - Today I was so grateful, after a crazy busy day, to head out for dinner with the lovely Canterbury DC women. Thank you to my lovely older children who were able to babysit for me so I could go out. Such a fun night :)
